Marquez KO Ramos, sets up 3rd bout with Pacquiao

Marquez throws straight jab on the face of Pacquiao on their 2nd fight.
WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel “Dinamita” Marquez (53-5-1, 39 KOs) made a strong statement for Manny Pacquiao as he knocked out his Colombian opponent Likar Ramos (24-4, 18 KOs) in the very first round of their non-title jr welterweight match-up on Saturday night at the Plaza de Toros in Cancun, Quintana Roo, Mexico. The bout serves as tune-up fight for the Mexican fighter for his anticipated trilogy with WBO Welterweight champion from the Philippines.

After the fight, Marquez verbalized that he is ready for Pacquiao in November and wished that this fight with Ramos would have lasted a little longer." I wanted this fight to prepare for Pacquiao, I was hoping it would have lasted longer but sometimes that's how it goes." said Marquez in the post-fight interview which was streamed live and free by Top Rank Boxing in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. He also told Pacquiao to get ready to face him in November. "I just wanted to tell him (Pacquiao) to prepare himself and I want to give the fans a great fight." he remarked. The fight with Pacquiao is to be held at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas.
